Why Fight Your Traffic Ticket?
Traffic Tickets - Speeding, Careless Driving, Disobeying a Stop Sign, Fail to Move, Fail to Remain at an Accident - can result in License Suspension.
Paying a fine and pleading guilty to a traffic ticket can have many more consequences than a hefty fine amount. Most traffic tickets have demerit points and as little as one conviction can increase your insurance rates.

An Innisfil man accused of speeding erratically along Yonge Street on Sunday afternoon is facing impaired and stunt driving charges.
South Simcoe Police say an officer spotted the driver travelling nearly 60km/h over the speed limit near the 4th Line. His vehicle was stopped by the 7th Line, east of Yonge Street.
The officer claims the driver was clearly impaired, and he was taken to the police station for testing where it’s alleged he blew more than twice the legal limit.
Police say the fully loaded truck was travelling more than 50km/h over the posted speed limit past Herb Campbell Public School on Wednesday afternoon.
“This type of driving is a tragedy waiting to happen,” stated the OPP in a Tweet.
The 57-year-old driver’s license was suspended and the dump truck was towed away.
A pair of stunt driving charges laid in separate South Simcoe Police busts.
The first arrest came just before lunchtime on Sunday, when police pulled over a vehicle clocked at twice the posted limit. Officers say the vehicle was traveling at a speed of 119 kilometres an hour in a 60 zone along the 11th Line of Bradford. A 33-year-old Alliston man not only faces a charge of Stunt Driving, police add he had no insurance card with him.
Around 3:30 Sunday afternoon, an officer says a vehicle was spied driving erratically and at a high rate of speed, northbound on Yonge St. near the 4th Line of Innisfil. The radar gun showed the vehicle was topped out at 139km/h in an 80 zone. The driver was stopped and arrested after the officer noted the smell of alcohol and obvious signs of impairment. A 39-year-old Innisfil man has been charged with Stunt Driving, Impaired Driving, and Dangerous Driving, among others.
Both drivers saw their licences and vehicles impounded by police.@ctvbarrienews
“POINTTS™ North Bay – Thank you Elizabeth for your attending to this matter on my behalf. Your professionalism is above expectation.
Many thanks also to the Pointts team.” Douglas M.
I am sending this note to express my thorough satisfaction with the professional service rendered by Elizabeth Mateus.
Liz was a pleasure to deal with right from the initial consultation through to the final resolution, which turned out much better than what I had expected. She listened to and totally understood my situation when I explained it to her, while at the same time she gave me a realistic understanding of the charge and challenge before me. She allowed me to see my situation from both sides, prosecution and defence.
I knew I had a strong defence, however when I initially tried to represent myself at my first Court appearance, I met with strong resistance from the Prosecutor and the Police Officer. I was offered a deal which lowered the charge from four demerit points to 3 demerit points, which was of little value to me. Being at the age of 65 and having an “A-Z“licence, any accumulation of more than two points would mean I would have to rent a tractor- trailer and take a yearly road test, at considerable expense and inconvenience. This was a difficult situation for me since I have not had any charges in almost 40 years. Consequently I refused the Prosecutor`s offer, so a Court date was set for September 15th. 2014.
I knew I was going to need help so I spoke to Liz (about two months before the Court date) and knew right away that she was the person for the job. She was knowledgeable, professional and instilled faith within me that she would represent me effectively.
I handed over to Liz all the evidence I had gathered and let her handle the case from then on. Liz ultimately used all her negotiating skills to achieve a resolution where I accumulated ZERO Demerit Points and paid a very small fine. I have nothing but praise and appreciation for what she has done for me.
She will be highly recommended by me to anyone I know who happens to need the services of POINTTS.
I must also mention that when Liz was away on holidays, her colleague Charleen did an excellent job of dealing with any queries or issues that I had and relayed the information to Liz as soon as she returned from holidays. Excellent job done by everyone!
Thank you so much!” W. G.
